I came across some 80s barbie sized clothes patterns at Goodwill the other day, and my 4 year old was very excited at the prospect of a wedding dress. The original was pretty gaudy, so I changed it up a bit, but this was very quick and fun to make, and my little lady was heart-meltingly ecstatic.

Material Notes

Made from a cotton peasant style blouse

Oh this is so cute she must be the happiest girl ever ……….Memory’s …………and to think this is how i started out sewing….. lol…… my sister made a dress for my doll and after that she was so lazy to play with me (the age gap between us is 10 years) so while i was playing she was being a teenager! !!!! So i made up my mind and started making my dolls own dresses …. I always tell my sister if it wasn’t for her refusing to make dresses for my doll i would never ever had the love for sewing!

Thank you- and wow 10 years is quite a gap! She should be proud that she had something to do with it ;)

Thanks! It’s so nice that your mom could do that for you, and that we can now create for our daughters, too. I do hope they really appreciate how much love goes into it, when they’re older :)
