Girlie gift for mom

Added Dec 30, 2010

by littlemisssew

Orimattila, Finland

This all started from a jewellery case I made for my fiancé’s mom birthday.
But then it just didn’t feel like enough.

I got more and more and more ideas and ended up with this little traveling kit.

It’s usable for everyday, and super usable for traveling.

I still have to put it to machine wash and snip the thread that stay. But all in all she is gonna love it.

Material Notes

I used many different things, but putting them all together with the same theme,lilac/white and hearts.

I used a lot of old lace lining, and the main fabric is sheet/towel fabric.

Garment Type
Bohemian, Romantic
Cotton, Blends, Lace/Sequins, Linen, Silk

the second picture is a jewelery holder.you put your bracelets and necklaces through the loops and inside the pockets, then roll the case and tie it up.
you have a more detailed picture in my other project about the jewelery cases.

A lovely gift for a Mother or Mother-in-law-to-be! Did you make the slippers too? Could you put a tutorial on BurdaStyle if you did, please? My mum has trouble getting slippers to fit and it would really help her if I could make some for her. : )

now go make your momma some slippers :))

if you want them to be softer for her feet you can always double the bottom layer,or even add some soft fluffy fabric in between the two bottom layers.
Just make sure your machine can take it,or do it by hand.

Good luck and make your momma happy^^

Thank you for putting the tutorial up. It took me days to find it because I didn’t know where to look for it. : )
