Garment-per-Week Challenge Project 1

Added Apr 13, 2010

by libra-s

Livingston, Unit...

I set myself a challenge which is to sew a garment every week for 3 months.
This is the dress I made last week ( the first week of the challenge). The fabric is Jersey and the pattern is from BWOF 4/2009.
After cutting the fabric, I realised that I made a mistake! I didn’t cut the front skirt on fold, and ended up with a seam in front!
I like to think that it is not much noticable :)

Has anyone ever found this pattern, except in the magazine which is out of print?

What is the name of the pattern? Is it available on the Burda site?

Very nice and easy to wear. Where did you get the pattern? Please could post a link on where to get it. :-)

Looks good. I wouldn’t have noticed the seem at the front if you hadn’t mentioned it. How do you make your hems nice and flat using jersey? I am trying to hem a dress I made and its so uneven and stretched. Good luck with your challenge – sounds like fun.

Thanks. Mashine sewing hems on Jersey is very tricky. therefore, I hand sewn the hem :)
