This dress is based on a pattern from an Italian magazine, Marfy. I choosed to make the dress in a shiny sports stretch and that made the dress very comfortable to wear and I think the skirt fell very nicely with this fabric. I wanted the dress to be chic, but not too elegant and therefore I didn’t want to have palettes on the shoulders and the lining inside the skirt as in the pattern. The photos are from my good friend’s wedding in Rome ;)

Beautiful!!! This Marfy pattern dress looks stunning on you. You are very clever to make this dress from a Marfy pattern as I know they do not include instructions.

Beautiful dress ellen, you look stunning!! I love the colour and shape of this on you. Going with the all blue and matching the nails and shoes just looks so elegant and classy. I love this on you. I have a marfy pattern cut out as well, the one shoulder one with drape so hopefully i can sew it with no instructions x

Is it you? Such a heaven creature who came down from the sky to congratulate her friend… Just WOW, Hellen! The colour is your leading, the wrap and draping are so chic and womanish. And this is one of a couple of dresses in the world where I like such a skirt:-) You are so beautiful on this pictures, and all those accessoires match so well!

P.S. I love Murfy’s style, too. I used to sew outfits from it when worked as a tailor and drafted patterns by their drawings. Very nice indeed, very very nice.
