Formy White jacket

This jacket was inspired by a book ‘Decades of Fashion’ (Harriet Worsley, published by H.F.Ullmann ). In its page 738 I found Chirstian Dior’s jacket with similar front and shape. I love it as it resemble to me a sculpture. The book shows very well how the fashion developed and changed during 20th century and it is good to look through not only to learn some history but also to have some new (old?) ideas to adapt for today.
Fabric – linen, self made pattern. I see this jacket very well with full skirted dress in 60-ties style. Will publish the dress the next time.

Great fitting! I´ve only made one jacket that is close fitted and I know how hard it is to get it right. And you made the pattern yourself! Very impressive! My congratulations!

I love cropped jackets. This is a great pattern – I’m sure you will be making it up again and again.
