This skirt was born out of need for something comfy and practical to wear to uni. Something that would be comfortable to wear alllll day and not get tight after lunch. I fell in love with the fabric when I found it in the spotlight remnants bin, it wasn’t a huge amount but it was pretty generous for a remnant. I tossed up between a fixed waistband or an elasticated waist but I went with the elasticated waist because it would be quicker, easier and stretchier. Its pretty bright and cheery and I wore it a lot during summer and early autumn although it is currently too cold. I love the practicality of the skirt however I do not love the bulk it adds to the waist but that can be fixed with the right belt. It took around 30 minutes to do and cost me basically nothing. Score!

Thank you, It was a lucky find. As for the speed….I needed something to wear, its funny how you can make garments so much faster when you really, really need them.
