Faded Rose Corduroy Kasia

I recycled an old jumper I had made in the mid 90’s into the Kasia. I realized after I had started to put it together that the colors had faded unevenly. I think it adds to the charm? I was afraid my size 42 would not fit with the thick corduroy so I took slightly smaller seam allowances. It turned out with plenty of room and is oh so comfy. My zipper turned out ugly but it doesn’t show anyway. I highly recommend this pattern. My old Husqvarna handled the sometimes heavy seams with no problem. I like the corduroy for the cold winters here in Norway. My mom made the vest for me. My 10 year old daughter did the pics.

Material Notes

Faded pink corduroy from an old jumper I had made. The former dress had a dropped gathered waist and was very long so I had enough material. I used some new cotton or cotton blend I had on hand for the lining. Recycled zipper. Black thread. New buttons!

Garment Type
Corduroy, Cotton
