I started making fabric flowers recently with just a few scrap pieces of fabric I discard from my other projects. I enjoy these flowers because I can stick a bobby pin at the back and wear them as a brooch, or to tie my scarf. I have made some of these flowers to attach to a hair band and added feathers to make it appropriate for race-day wear.

Material Notes

cotton, netting

Thanks! I have used this fabric for my 3yr old daughter skirt too, reminds me of boiled lollies and candy canes.

Thats really cute. I love the fabric combination and the stripes make it extra special. Is is made from coiled rectangles or is it more complicated?

I love stripes too, especially red and white…remind me of candy. Hmm..I would say it is coiled rectangles..I added a tutorial, it was really easy to make!
