I went out and bought the required fabric and I ran out!!!
Not sure if I just didnt understand how to cut the skirt, but I ended up adding two panels, one on either side of the dress, of my sash fabric.

In this image, I havent done the bottom seam yet, but I will ;)

But here is my finished project!

Wow thanks everyone! So many warm comments! I got a lot of compliments when I wore it out for my birthday. Im not crazy about this pic (it was taken on the day after so I’m feeling a little bit rough hehe) and will be posting another soonish.

Elegant Impressions: Thats kind of what I thought was supposed to happen, but I couldnt position the pattern on my fabric in a way that it’d fit like that. It wasnt wide enough. And then I wasnt sure how to fold the fabric to make it so… Oh well, I made it work out anyways.

badaspunkbtch, I hope you do make one. I’d love to see some other people’s take on the project. ;) I’m sure you’ll do a lovely job!

I thought the white stripes were on purpose. Very cute! Makes you look taller. :) Thanks for sharing. You’ve inspired me to make one as well!

P.S. I recommend definitely still have to wear a petticoat underneath, so it takes the right fit. Apfelbluete

Ohh great fabric, the print is so beautiful. I think your added stash fabric gives the whole dress a nice lift, no one would know if you didn’t tell them it was becasue you ran out of fabric ;) Great job, it is a very flattering shape for you too.

I congratulate you warmly on your project! it is a success. I’m sorry that you have not understood the Skirt. the Skirt is a 1 pattern detail. it should be tailored to look like a circle with a hole in it. Apfelbluete
