Another shoe rescue! This time I covered the shoes with shredded newspaper. I think it looks like snakeskin, don’t you? The trim looks like a zipper but it’s actually cloth.

      Thanks wardrobe cat. I ran the newspaper through the shredder and used decoupage following the shape of the shoes. The white paper was too stark for me so I brushed over it with some black paint.

      Thankyou! Definately adding this of things to have a crack at. I always have newspaper piling up around the house (thank the husband’s crossword addiction), so have plenty of materials. And i think i have a shredder around here somewhere…
