Thanks. I’m going to try to modify this into panties for my Yorkie. She is 14 yo and has become situationally incontinet. (When she squats to be petted) It would be so nice to be able to pet her without having to clean up.

Thank you for the comments all! I haven’t actually seen them on her puppy yet. I made a rough pattern with her pup and had to use Scrumptious Bear to finish them at home. The leg openings seemed a little wide after I sewed but I have Chows so they are of no help, other than to lay all over my material when I try to cut it.

I too have a mini dachshund and like candigirl, my lil guy wouldn’t keep on a pair of pants at all. In fact, he won’t keep any clothing on at all…he prefers to go “au naturelle” LOL

I do have to admit, these are adorable.

I hope that ed2122’s Aunt’s dog get better.

I, too, have a mini dachshund, and I can tell you without any trepadition that my dog would never keep a pair of pants on for any appreciable amount of time…she would have those things whipped off in a new york second…but hey, cute idea…but for me, too much work for something my dog would hate.

Wish I could see a pic of them on the dog! It sounds crazy but these pants could actually be practical. It’s kind of a sad story… my aunt’s dachshund (also mix of standard and mini) hurt his spine, had to have surgery and lost feeling in his legs. They have been retraining him to walk. Poor thing had to wear a diaper for a while and his legs got sores from him dragging them around. He also kept licking/biting at his legs because he couldn’t really feel them but the sores itched. (He is getting better now.) Those pants could cover up the doggie diaper and help prevent his legs from getting sores from being dragged, and might make him less inclined to lick them (meaning he wouldn’t need the cone collar as much). I’m sure you just intended them to be cute but they really could be helpful to a poor little doggie like my aunt’s!
