Description

While DIY dresses, jackets or skirts are nothing new, they usually have little variation in the material used. So if you want to have something truly unique, why not test your tried & proven methods, but with a new kind of material – like soft shell, fleece and other technical, outdoorsy fabrics?

It works particularly well if you choose to pair it with traditional materials like lace – for instance, a varsity jacket made of both lace and soft shell is quite something. Materials like that have an additional advantage, and it’s the same one that made the clothes the materials once were desireable – namely, great insulation!

A lot can be said of DIY couture, but it being practical usually is not one of them. Well, not any more – with your weatherproof, rainproof, warm, soft shell clothes, you get a LOT of practicality coupled with the look you love.
