Discovering A-Line Skirts

I read somewhere that one recommended staple of summer wardrobe is a perfect fit a-line skirt… and so I made two of this.

One is made out of some black denim fabric, lined with shocking fuschia satin.

Second one is made from suiting fabric (I think) and I added red piping (that I also handmade from some bias tape and cord). Also did red topstitching at the hem. Lined with white satin.

And true to the article that I read, I’ve used them a couple over the past couple of weeks since I finished them.

Pattern is self-drafted based on my body measurements.
