Description

I work at a small brewery and I had to make an Oktoberfest dress for my boss’s 5 year old daughter. A girl who knows what she wants, she said, “I want lots of bows. NO BUTTONS!” I started off with a cap sleeve tshirt and added a cute bodice design to the front with purple felt and pink ribbon, using Heat & Bond to adhere all the pieces together. Then I topstitched over that to make sure it would stay attached. Then I sewed a basic skirt and then attached it to the shirt/bodice. Lastly, I made a little apron out of white cotton and trimmed it with matching ric rac and added a bow. She was pleased with all the bows, and my boss reported that her daughter didn’t take the dress off for a week!
