My favourite dress to date… I love the pleating detail on the sleeves as it adds a different twist to the normal sleeves i’ve been doing lately & has these fab built in pockets at the front…. don’t know the technical name for them but i’d describe them a bit like kangaroo pockets… also found these great vintage looking brushed silver & diamonte buttons which i think gives the dress a bit of sparkle… was tempted to put some buttons on the pocket too… but decided in the end that less was more ;-)
First attempt at a ‘not so’ invisible zipper….lol! But overall i’m realy happy with the way it turned out & is probably the most comfortable dress in the world…. ever… Lol!

Great dress! I love the folded detail in the sleeves too. Can you tell me what pattern you used? It would make a perfect dress for work.

Sure…I used Simplicity 2798 (Project Runway Inspired)… it’s a fab pattern… with good length, sleeve & yoke variations…. it also gives you seperate cup sizes ie. a,b,c for your size ie. 8,10,12 so you can mix them to get a pefect fit around your bust …. am planning to make a few more variations for work too :-) :-)

I’m mad about plaid, and this dress is perfect for it. Congrats on a dress well done!

This looks amazing! So classy, but cute also. My favorite part is the back, because it gives such a curvy, elegant shape. Good job!

Lovely, those sleeves are fab and I like the way the check pattern lines up on the top bib part of the dress. Great job
