Denim jumper with sweetheart neckline and side pockets. I made a coordinating kimono-style lace shrug to go over it. Completely lined with cotton. It was in my school’s fashion show and won first place in Daywear!

Material Notes

Stretch denim, lace, cotton, invisible zipper, rigilene boning, sheer ribbon to prevent the lace from stretching

Garment Type
Casual, Other

Really nice! How did you make the detail in front, is it a separate piece of fabric or is it draped? I like it.

The neckline detail is separate from the bodice and faced with the same fabric. It is also two pieces, sewn together at the center (but you cannot see the seam with how the piece lays). I’m not sure if you can do this with one piece without the fabric bunching at the center point. I just played around with the widths until I thought it looked nice. This entire outfit was flat-patterned. I hope this made sense! :)
