i’ve had a look in your studio and i remember the dress now. it looks so different in a solid colour. both are fab though. i bought loads of burda mags from the 70’s @ 80’s and i also got a pile of dress patterns from the 60’s early 70’s as a job lot.i’ll get round to them eventually lol x

yes they both look completely different. Amazing, isn’t it, how a dress can change so much according to the material ? I am looking forward to seeing what you do with all your dress patterns, so exciting !! XXX

thanks Mary ! Well, let me try and explain. The pattern is literally just one rectangular piece of fabric brought into shape by 12 darts. No side seams, darts instead, just a seam in the back. I am fascinated by this pattern, so clever !

it is from an old german magazine, from 1964. I have made one in a jersey before and added a pic of the pattern with it. X
