Backless-dress-1_large

Description

After seeing maryy’s Black with open back dress, I decided to try and make something similar for myself! For the top I used simplicity pattern 9466, which I then altered the back of, and I used snap closures for the top of the back part instead of making button holes.

I’m thinking I might make another one in something bright or floral with a few adjustments

Material Notes

cotton, fabric covered buttons, snap closures, zip, hook and eye

This is so lovely. Too bad walking backwards is so awkward. We would rethink walking with a sexy back like this.

How cute! Did you reinforce the bust with something? I’d love a backless dress, but I’m quite busty and I don’t like to go around without a bra :(

Nope, I didn’t really need to as I have a small bust. The whole top part is lined though.
