Description

Another wedding, another dress! This time I wanted to stray from the fitted pencil skirt, and wear a lot of fabric. This fabric is actually my old duvet cover. Still good fabric, no stains, I just got tired of seeing that color on my bed…and wanted to wear it instead. So this time, using my bodice block, I made a strapless self-lined bodice that buttoned at the back with elastic loops. Then! The skirt is just the two layers of my duvet gathered and sewn to the bodice, with a couple snaps up the back. I made most of the gathers at the back of the dress, and kept the front center smooth.
