The skirt is created from several layers of lightweight fabrics. An optional petticoat will make the skirt even fuller and more dramatic.

Not to be outdone, the upper part of the gown is achieved with specially fitted pieces in the bodice and a dramatic gathered drape about the shoulders. The gown closes in back.

Instructions included for making “Butterflies” out of silk flower petals.

1 -1/4 yard Silky Special Occasion Fabric such as Organza, Silk, and Sheer fabrics.
1 -1/3 yard tulle, mesh, or fine netting
3/4 yard lightweight lining fabric
1/2 yard organza, pearlized, or other sheer fabric
Petticoat: 1 yard tulle or netting, plus 1/2 yard lightweight fabric
Trims, Sequins, or Fabric Paint for embellishment (amount varies)
Desired Closures (Velcro, snaps, buttons, etc)
Matching Thread, Interfacing
