christmas dress - angela kane

I had a lot of troubles doing this dress.
1. the pattern was size medium (I have s or xs) → sizing down
2. the top garment (loden) got loose after sewing it flat, . . . . → a lot of taking in

But I’m very happy how it turned out, got a lot of compliments :-) and so comfy to wear!
And improved my skills → very proud of the neat and tidy sewn in backzipper & blind hem stitch

Thanks to angela kane for the niced pattern and the helpful videos on youtube, i think i will use the pattern maybe for friends, but not for my size again.

Material Notes

Top → walk-loden
bottom → Ikea fabric
black dress zipper, golden ribbon

I don’t get any notification when my pattern is submitted as a project and I haven’t checked for a while.

I love your version. I too use Ikea fabric in my wardrobe. Although the free pattern is only available in one size on Burdastyle, it is available free in small/medium/large from my website angelakane.com.

Also for submitting this project you may like to claim Full Membership for one year – so far I have 24 basic patterns (sizes 6-22) and 3 in-depth videos, including the Make Authentic Jeans video.
