Description

I made these a few years ago for a panto and thought with panto season coming up someone might be looking for ideas. I used a free downloadable pattern from burda and adapted it for our ‘troupe’. I looked for the pattern and couldn’t find it anymore. I adapted it so much I probably could have drafted the pattern as well. the dresses had to work for dancers so i turned the blouse and skirt into a tutu with fitted ruffled knickers attached. The corsets were made separately then stitched to tutu. The lederhosen were cut very short and stitched to the blouse. The headresses are basic floral character headresses. I stitched mine but hot glueing works too. I made these for £6.00 each including socks, headdresses etc and sold them for £20-£30 each on an auction site.Make sure you use cottons that don’t bleed otherwise when you wash them the white picks up the colour!
