“Elizabethan like” costume for Halloween

Material Notes

I just used left over stuff in my work room, some lining fabric and material I think was actually meant for curtains. I used cotton duck to make the corset and some strapping material for boning since I didn’t have any then covered the front of the corset with the embroidered fabric. My first costume ever. I was actually happy with it.

Hahah, I’m glad to know my friends and I aren’t the only people who make costumes this elaborate for Halloween. The dress is BEAUTIFUL… I love the color combination. Excellent work!

Thanks everyone !! (blush) ;) No Jadestar I didn’t have a pattern. I just looked at some photos and prints of Elizabethan costume/dress and went from there. I don’t have much patience with patterns, but then I’m just really learning how to sew clothing.
