Cars... cars... cars... A shirt for Dominic Burda style 04/2...

A shirt with mandarin collar, front pocket and tab details in a car design cotton – Street life by By Jessica Hogarth for Dashwood Studio.

Quite time consuming as a project – think about all those little tabs, cuffs, the narrow collar, about 12 buttonholes and the welted pocket. However seeing my son Dominic wearing it and actually enjoying it was simply priceless.

I have used heavy denim for contrast. One happy customer!

Note: the shirt turned out a bit on the big side. Although Dominic is 7 and I used the right sizing, he refused to try it on… so I had to finish it according to the size I thought best. The good news is, it will fit perfectly next year. The bad news… the sleeves are rolled up in most of the photos so I cannot show the finished denim cuff with bias denim sleeve vents!

Photographs: Nice (port), France

100% cotton, denim

I will! He takes great photos. I agree, we should see more boys’ and men’s fashion. Enough dresses! :-)
