Hepburn, of course.
These are my first attempt at pants. I used a vintage Australian Home Journal pattern (number 9741) from the late 40s/early 50s going by the styling of the pants and the image on the envelope. Unfortunately the instructions for the pattern had been lost so i had to guess how to put them together, hence the use of bias binding on the waistband edges because I couldn’t work out how else to make those edges neat. But other than that, they were surprisingly easy to make.
They’re quite high waisted, even after lowering them by 4 centimetres, and also very wide (the pattern would be great for pyjama or palazzo pants) so in future I’ll probably both lower and narrow them further.
