buttoned up suede skirt

Great Yarmouth, ...

I bought this lovely suede fabric in my local store quite some time ago and recently made a top with it and there was just enough left to make a little skirt. I thought that an a line skirt with buttons down the front would look good. In the new easy magazine is the exact skirt how I imagined it, but as I don’t have that particular mag, I had to improvise. I used a pattern (no.123) from the 12/2010 issue and ordered some snap fasteners from Ebay.

thanks Rita! Everyone in my house said they like the orange/rust jumper with it, but I’m with you, I prefer it with black :-)

thanks, I like them too but not as much as the other sort I had ordered from Ebay, called Ocean with a little anchor design on them. Just couldn’t get them to work and after ruining 4 of them, I gave up and used the plain ones. very disappointing :-(

Fabulous skirt chula. I love the buttons and the fabric. It’s got a lovely 70’s vibe to it which would cost quite a few quid in river island etc it’s lovely on you as well x

thanks Mary. yes, it reminds me of the 70’s too and I agree, probably cost quite a bit in river island, hehehe. the buttons are nice but they are not the ones I wanted to use, had ordered some from ebay with a lovely picture on them, called Ocean, but unfortunately I didn’t have the complete tool set to do them. such a shame, they would have looked brilliant with this skirt. x
