Button-up Romper

Toronto, Canada

I made this romper out of a few shirts I got for 50¢ at Honest Ed’s in downtown Toronto. I used McCall’s pattern M6331 which I modified by making it button up the front and added pockets, etc. It may be a little too trendy, but it was fun to make.

Material Notes

85% cotton
15% Linen

Garment Type

This is MUCH better looking than the pattern illustration. I was looking for a romper pattern the other day to see what was out there, and I immediately discarded this particular pattern. Your button mods and the elimination of those silly wings make a giant world of difference.

This is adorable! I don’t usually like rompers but this is vintage enough that I would be willing to reconsider my initial feelings! :)

This style romper looks great. One that is well fitted and has some design can look very flattering. Well done since it was also using found shirts.
