Description

Form fitting blouse with darts along the front and back. The pattern is from Burdastyle May 2012 issue

I did a size 38 and altered it to petite. It is fitted, but not super tight. The

I like pretty much everything with this pattern as it is exactly how I want my blouses to fit, fitted but not tight and the convertible collar is nice detail and it very well drafted and almost looks like there is collar stand.

Just a tiny bit too much ease in the sleeve head though, but way better than many other Burdastyle patterns. Also notice that I skipped the hidden placket and did a regular placket from the 103 version of this pattern.

I especially like how detailed the instructions for the bias tape neckline facing was and also they did a pretty good job explaining how to do a bias tape placket on the cuffs.

I used silk organza as interfacing and used the methods for sewing buttonholes described in Buttonhole video tutorial for how I sewed the buttonholes.

Overall, this pattern is now my base pattern for all my shirts. I love it and it looks very close to how it fit on the model in the Burdastyle pictures.
