Description
In my mind I have been wanting to make something from a poncho brought back from a holiday in Cabo San Lucas years ago. Since I have been wanting a Santa Fe style of cardigan, I thought to make one; with out the price tag. So this is my Baby its cold outside vest from Hot Patterns & Burda style 7013 top. I like both patterns due to simplicity. I mixed the use of materials for the top because I was using up the stash!
Its a great feeling to use up the stash.
Material Notes
Poncho upcycled into a vest. Bias tape home made from chambray material. Top is terry cloth for the bodice and the sleeves & trim are a ribbed cotton jersey. I really made every inch of fabric work for this one. Over all great fall/winter time items. I feel like I’m wearing lounge wear.

Its very snuggly. It also is chic. I think for work I can pair this with a nice silver necklace. I bold thick statement piece.

Thank you Mary! It is something that I could wear to work with a nice skirt or office pant. During the weekend I could wear jeans. I want to make one for my mom.
