Bunny and Frog Aprons

Added Mar 21, 2011

by Adrienne Hen...

Springfield, Ten...

Two cute little aprons on 2 cute little girls! I made the bunny one and a friend made the frog. We are trying to see if these would sell. They were really fun to make and it was my first time at applique and it really wasn’t as difficult as I had expected. Watch for more appliqued stuff cuz I am loving it!!!!!

Material Notes

Cotton, interfacing (heavy for the applique heads) and buttons for the eyes and ribbon.

They are from a McCall’s pattern, I can’t remember the number off hand but got the pattern on sale for 1.99 at JoAnn’s, and it has a cat and a dog also. A friend and I have also made patterns for heads for a pug, lion, monkey and a few others. I will get with her and see if we can get them posted this weekend. We are also going to put these on child size totes for sale. Hope they do well. Happy Sewing!

Adorable! I would buy a pattern for this if you wanted to post one. Applique is a lot of fun :)

Like I said above, it is a McCall’s pattern, but watch for some other fun, cute heads that we drew up ourselves. I am getting ready to make a pug for my granddaughter but think I will put it on a little jumper so she can get more use out of it than an apron or I might make a bib for her, as she really is a messy eater…lol. Happy Sewing!!!
