Bumble's New Coat

Decided to make this for my other half’s Christmas, despite never having made a coat before or properly knowing how my sewing machine works. As long as you don’t look too closely at the pockets I think it looks alright. Only just realised the pattern said ‘advanced’ once I’d finished – oops.
It isn’t that wonky, I only have a girly dress form, and the fez is optional.

Material Notes

It’s a grey/green wool suiting with stripe lining and anchor buttons, because that’s what the boy picked.

This looks very good-congratulations on such nice results on an advanced project! I wouldn’t ever give a coat pattern to a novice, but you seem to have finished with flying colors…;)

This looks great! I am going to try this, too. How did you find the sizing? I am confused about the Burda size charts. Does the final garment come out to the measurements given in the charts, or is it meant to fit a person with the measurements given in the charts? Any input would be great. Thanks! Leah
