Description

I needed something to wear to my best friend’s baby shower (which I was throwing) so I HAD to design something fabulous! I designed my own pattern. What are your thoughts on my design??

I love it!!!! If you have time for a ‘how to’ that would be fabtastic! Loving the fabric choice too.

I think the design is cute, I think it would also work well as an A line skirt that would make it more slimming, but this one accentuates the curves, so it I would make the lower part removable :) that would be fun

      Thanks for your comment Mirela!
I understand what you are saying; this may not be the perfect shape for all body types. I also made this skirt out of the same fabric: http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/girly-skirt-graphic
I believe this silhouette is closer to what you were speaking about, right? But your idea of a removable piece is intriguing…hmmm…I love the flow of ideas on Burdastyle! :)
      Thanks again!

Thank you all for the comments! The skirt is not super complicated just lots of pinning to get those pleats just right. :) I will see if I have time to post a “how-to” soon.

I have almost the exact fabric in a green! I loved the print and it screamed skirt to me also. I cannot wear this style, but it’s adorable. You will be very chic as the hostess!
