Blue Safari

Dress-coat. Very nice pattern, quite complex but sometimes I like to spend some more time at the sewing machine while making double finishing seams imitating jeans’. It’s a pretty universal model; it’s easy to change the image using other items of clothes ( add pants or shorts and a top, unbotton the coat and go for a walk or shopping) or different accessoires (add a scarf or kerchif – and you are ready for work). I think blue colour makes it more womanish and less sportive.
The pattern was taken from Burda magazine 5/2009, # 126 ( one of the best issues, in my opinion, I made several outfits from it ).

Material Notes

Linen is the best choice if you don’t worry about rumpling – I do not:)

It is pretty, very stylish and polished look. Not to mention that your eyes have the same color (or even better) with the dress. I don’t remeber if I have this issue! I would never make this dress, although I love the style, because I am not good at all at topstiching. This is why I don’t remember it:))

You tell me a lot of complments:)) Thank you very much for such nice comments!
Probably I have to use your practice to add the photos from old issues together with present patterns’ interpretations to compare.
