I cut this pattern out last winter from some butter soft cotton double knit using the Knipmode May 2011 Special, blazer pattern. Since I’m currently sewing one unfinished/ abandoned project for each new garment I sew, I decided it was time to tackle this make.
The bubble skirt is a Mila Schn pattern (#14 from Patrones Extra 264) that I sewed up using the Acrylic knit from Oona’s One Cool Thing One Strange Thing swap parcel backed by a holographic foil jersey (for opacity + it has this really cool effect where, from an angle, you can kind of make out the 70s style acid induced coma pattern on the foil jersey through the openwork of the Acrylic knit). I made the pocket yokes, pockets and pocket facings out of fur and it keeps my hands waaaaarm.

Material Notes

Grey cotton double knit
Self-fabric covered button
Acrylic knit
Holographic foil acid induced coma jersey for lining
Black fur for the pockets
Elastic band at waist and hem

Hi there, I’ve mentioned in the text which patterns they are. If you mean where you can get the pattern magazines- it shouldn’t be a problem on evilbay but I’ve written a post on some other sources here.

The blazer turned out really well, and that skirt does look immensely comfortable! Also, you have a cute haircut :)

Wow- it is cool as when you are selecting to view all photos and scroll to the one that really shows off the fabric, it is just wonderful how interesting the fabric is. It looks like a handknitted skirt! Brilliant idea TJ!!!!!
