Blast From The Past inspired quilted bed-jacket

For Karen’s pyjama party I decided to make a bed-wardrobe instead of just pyjamas (I made two pyjama shorts from an Ottobre pattern and realised pyjamas alone were too quick and easy and since I had a week I might as well gear up for winter with some nice warm house clothes). I started with a quilted knit fabric and the #6 Cape pattern from La Mia Boutique 12/2010. I had to grade down to my size and since I only had enough quilted knit for the outer garment I faced it with some yellow Lacoste knit I got off ebay and used a fur like red wool fabric for the draped collar/ hood. It took me a couple of days to finish but its warm and I love it. The rest of the outfit is here http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/bed-jumping-outfit and the full post is on my blog here http://theperfectnose.wordpress.com/2012/04/29/782/.
