Black with open back

Stockholm, Sweden

This is what I made on Saturday. It took me the whole afternoon to sew it, but luckily I got it finished just in time, and wore it in the evening.
I’ve also made the headpiece by myself.
No pattern was used.

Material Notes

Dress: a bit elastic, black fabric and buttons
Headpiece: white cotton, pearls, lace, satin ribbon and a tiny cameo.

I was inspired by a dress I saw in a blog called Sally Jane Vintage (http://sallyjanevintage.blogspot.com/2007/09/i-found-this-dress-at-fairfax-flea.html)

Fantastic! You look like a movie star from ’50ies. Love the naked back.

The bow on the back is such a nice touch to liven the simple dress. You look so good in it, and awesome that it was finished in time to go out!

Aw….love it! The back is great! I love that you made this in time to wear it out. Nothing to wear?…I’ll just whip something up! Brilliant.
