birdies dress

my take on burda’s dress no. 116 from august this year
made from satin fabric
that i got from remnant bin of my fabric store
so there was only 1.3m
instead of 2m that burda calls for
so i had to get creative to make it work
(hence the center front and back seams)
i really loved the pattern
it fitted quite well, no alterations needed
(i made it in straight size 38)
used french seams, except for the waist seam
where i sewed regular seam, with elastic added to it
skirt, sleeves and neckline are all finished with narrow double turned seam

thanks! it’s an unusual color, would be nice to find some wool fabric in this color, so that i don’t have to wait the next summer to get to wear it again :)
