Bike seat and basket cover.

Portland, Maine,...

I recently bought a vintage Raleigh Sprite. I have wanted a cruiser ever since visiting Amersterdam. I wanted a bike with a basket that I could also travel with my Chihuahua. He seems to enjoy the ride. I made a lining and seat cover that can be removed. The basket lining is also a bag that I can take with me. It folds down and up with a lid. This makes it easy to fill up and stuff won’t fly out while biking. I also covered a cushion that I already had for my dog. This can be removed.
The pattern fabric came from my stash and the brown is from a curtain that I no longer use.
I have more photos on my blog:

That’s amazing having all four! It is funny that you have to take less due to distracted drivers. It is nice to know that you can do it if you really need to though. Thanks for sharing that:)

So cute and so clever. Isn’t it fun biking around with a pooch? I have my dutch bike rigged to accommodate 4 small dogs. Except its far too distracting for drivers so I seldom go out with all four.

I love the colour of your bike and the fabric complements it perfectly.
