Thank you very much – I know, the mess-ups are part of the process, right? I will probably try another one eventually.

I do agree with the zip,, but it does look nice,, I am sorry you had such hard times with the instructions,, I find them easier in German,, even though I speak and write perfect English, I always go back to those instructions in my own language.

I bet they are better in German, I wish I could read it! Thank you.

You have actually made this dress beautifully and you do look lovely in it but because you have had problems making it and spent more time than planned, you are over it. Maybe put it in the closet for a few weeks and then bring it out and then you will be very proud of all of your hard work. It is a lovely pattern and if you make it again, use a plain fabric and a soft fabric for the front pleating detail. I really like this fabric that you have used but as you say, it doesn’t reveal all the detail that has gone into making this dress. I have been sewing for over 40 years and I still make mistakes choosing the wrong fabric for the pattern intended. You are always learning with sewing!!!

Thank you so much for your compliments and advice, I think I will do what you say, both with putting it away for awhile and with trying again. I appreciate your wisdom!
