I am a fan of unique Batik fabrics and prints.
Bought this batik sarong fabric while holidaying in Malaysia (it was meant to be worn as a sarong skirt), but changed it up into a dress!

This is my FIRST EVER sewing attempt!
Thank goodness for Burda Easy!!!
I can’t wait to make another!

      Thank you!
I feel kind of sad that I have given it away for a friend now.

Juanitia, this is a beautiful first dress! The complexity and vibrant awesomeness your batik makes this dress look much harder than it looks! Wearable and suppper cute! I feel like I want two of these in my closet! ((laughs))

Thanks GinaSophia. I thought making the bias tape was a chore. But definitely worth the effort!

Anda was such a good choice, a simple design that lets this amazing fabric shine. And easy for a beginner to perfect, bonus!

Beautiful choice of fabric—perfectly suited for the design of the dress. This style is also very flattering to any figure. Well done!
