Description

This fabric started life as a pair of curtains.
They were brand new in packet and I just knew they needed to be a dress.
I set about finding the perfect pattern and I am happy with the outcome.
I used just the bodice pattern and I also didn’t bother making the waist tie belt.
For the skirt I just gathered the full width of the pair of curtains and used their hem as the hem for the dress.
I also kept the Barbapapa label in the side seam.
The bodice is fully lined, the skirt didn’t need it due to the fullness.
I am happy with the dress and it was pretty quick to run up.
Now just have to wait for some nice weather so I can wear it.

Material Notes

one pair of curtains, one zip, bit of white cotton to line the bodice.

You did a marvelous job with this! I’m inspired to use curtains for a sewing project.
