Back to School Classic - Summer Sloper Design Contest

The button down plaid gets a makeover, with all the warmth of flannel, and comfort of the fall favorite loose-fitting button down. This combination is the ideal back to school dress, and it is a perfect fit for those weekend campfires. I modified the bodice and sleeve to be a looser fit. The sleeve is 3/4th in length and comes to a cuff. I also took up the skirt of the dress about 2 inches, did not include back slit, and added the band at the bottom for contrast. I learned this technique by using the Cheongsam dress pattern from Burda’s pattern store.

Your dress has come out really nice :) How much is the ease included in the slopers? is it a big effort to get the slopers to fit ?
