This is precious! I would love to know what pattern you used as I am always making gifts for baby showers and we have 9 nurses at work all due around the same time in about 6 months. I would love to add this to the gift set that I currently make. Happy Sewing!!! And I love the fabric too!

Thank you. Some time ago I bought a newborn top made out of T-shirt-like material. I traced the little top on paper and I have been making baby gifts ever since. The original had sleeves, but I prefer sleeveless. They look like little vests.

Thanks for the info. I am not very good yet at tracing ready made clothing, for some reason I always screw something up and it doesn’t work out. Oh well, guess I need to keep practicing.

I traced my own pattern from a bought top. It is very easy to just trace a pattern on paper. Something to remember is to leave seam allowances.
I have made many of this pieces and I love lining half of the back because that way it is easier on the sleeves. A piece of fabric cut on the bias also work for the sleeves.
