If there is a must to have in your wardrobe, it has to be the Bombshell Bathing Suit (togs for us Queenslanders) doesn’t quite sound the same? Togs!! Cheers to Heather for a fabulous pattern.
Winter has finally arrived in Sydney and wouldn’t you know the day I want to take a few pickies of me sashaying around the unit block, in my new fabbo swimmo suito! Nah, didn’t want to freeze me little ole’ ass off, did I?
My mannequin will have to show off my version. I must say, I was a little hesitant in buying the fabric with all of these bathing beauties on the print, but pretty cool though!

Material Notes

1 mtr spandex
1 mtr spandex lining
Bra cups

OMG!! Gorgeous! And the fabric print is fantastic. I love this type of bathing suits. I really want to make one of these but I was wondering if you can sew spandex with regular domestic sewing machines. Is there some special material that I need? What kind of thread do you use? Eleastic? Are the instructions on the pattern straightforward?

Love the fabric! Was it easy to work with? This is such a nice style I wouldn’t mind making one myself. I was horrified to discover today that the swim suit I wore and washed yesterday has a long transparent strip over my bum! Yikes the poor people at the pool !

Fabric wasn’t a problem, I used overlocker, zigzag & straight stich and all were a breeze!! I haven’t been for a swim yet, so not sure how my bum will do. I have lined it and inserted cups though.
