At the theater

Last weekend I watched “Medea” at Dodoni ancient theater. Great opportunity to wear my “dramatic” dress!
This pattern requires a lot of fabric. It consists of two dresses, one on top of the other, so I would say it’s a “heavy” dress but that’s why it drapes so beautifully.
Also note that the actual color is not so pink….The evening light didn’t help…

With that dress you should have been part of the play. :-) The draping is so nice!

Actually, I imagine this dress in ivory colored drapey fabric with golden details because it reminds me of ancient Greek dresses. You’ve made great pattern choice for the event! Looks fabulous!

Thanks a lot my friend! Actually ancient greeks used to wear intense colored clothes like green, indigo, dark red, dark purple! But the colors didn’t survive on statues so there is a huge misunderstanding here ha, ha….What really frustrated me was that Medea was dressed in a short camizole! That’s the modern interpretaion of the tragedy….

Thanks Ellen! It’s a really nice dress. I should have made it a little bit longer so that I could wear it with a belt, too…

Looks great on you and the color fits you well, even with a shade of pink ;-)! I’m hesitating if this pattern is good for me. It looks very interesting, but I never wear long dresses…

Thank you! Believe me, it’s not pink…It’s a dull deep red… I think you should reconsider long dresses. I believe that they look flattering on every woman.
