Description

I had been intrigued by this design as soon as I saw it in the March 2019 Burda magazine and had to give it a try. I am using a rayon challis as my fabric, centering the printed green stripe that divides the floral motif from the butterfly print around the waistline for some definition to this oversized top. I didn’t like how baggy this was made according to the design, so I merely added an elastic loop coming out of the right side seam to button closed at the center front waistline. This way the fullness is reigned in and it makes the top look like an asymmetric peplum! What a nice idea with the stripe, loop and the button. It made the top look different! It looks nice.
