Art Nouveau Sencha

Portland, Oregon...

This was my first shot at Colette Patterns Sencha Blouse. I thought the shape and style of the blouse was so flattering and cute…turns out it’s not that incredible on me. I need to be a bit better endowed to really look great in this, but I still really love the fabric and the general style, so I’m happy overall.
I had to add some makeshift darts in the sides to pull some extra fabric in over my bosom.

Material Notes

A beautiful Liberty of London print from Bolt. I love the art nouveau look of it, and it’s so silky-feeling almost! Love it.
And the red buttons add the perfect pop of color!

That’s beautiful material and you have sewn it up so neatly, it’s such a shame the pattern is the wrong shape for you! I have the impression from looking at the colette patterns that they are designed to fit rather curvy types.Good luck in transforming this into something still lovely but also lovely on you!

The fabric is absolutely stunning, I hope you can make adjustments so it fits how you like. It would be such a shame for it not to be worn!

Thank you! I know, I’m pretty determined to make it work. The fabric is too gorgeous not to!
