Salwar Kameez, one of traditional Indian dresses and my daughter’s favourite. Her fav is actually the shawl (dupatta) that one wears with it. I managed to scrape through remaining fabric and embellish with more fabric and beads to make a little tiny dupatta, that she proudly flaunts around

Material Notes

Crushed Silk Kameez (Top)
Crepe silk Patiala style Pant with elasticized waist
Dupatta made of remaining pant material, embellished with remaining top material and beads

Garment Type
Casual, Classic

Absolutely gorgeous. I love the colors. India fabric and clothing always has the best colors. She is so happy with her new dress! Happy B-day little one!

I love love love this. I want to make my daughter a few of these outfits. She used to go to dance class with an Indian friend who wore these but now we can’t get in contact with the family. Anyhow is this a pattern or just a basic tunic that is embellished? Is there a zipper?

      Thanks for such wonderful comments!

Pattern is what i had drafted by extending her basic bodice draft. The embroidery work was custom made after drafting the pattern and marking on the fabric, Once the embroidery was done, then the pattern pieces were cut and stitched. Yes there is a center zipper at the back.
