Description

I decided to take quite a few shortcuts for the sake of comfort. First, there are no hoops in this “hoopskirt.” Instead, I used standard crinoline because I hate trying to sit in a hoop and they don’t really fit in cars. Also, the “underskirt” is sewn directly to the petticoat though this would usually be a separate garment. This size may seem slender, but during the Civil War skirts got pretty small. Also, I am wearing it with my effigy corset which comes from a few centuries prior because I didn’t feel like wearing separate outfits to showcase the two projects.

That is a rockin outfit. Did you use a pattern for the corset?
