This is my prototype for her christmas dress, well with a few alterations. its muslin with a chiffon overlay, and lined in white cotton and chiffon. With a blue satin ribbon. I liked it so much that when her grandparents wanted to get her picture takin I sent this one! I modeled it after a dress from pride and prejudice. Ill put up more pics when my cam comes back from repair.

Material Notes

Muslin, chiffon, cotton. ribbon, zipper

I used it for the bodice, the skirt was guess work and i drew out the pattern for the sleeve. Really i make one pattern to take her general measurments and work from there adding more ease depending on the style and adding or taking away from the length. Its really very useful, since i’m so visual. numbers simply confound me!

I love Regency clothes! Did you make this using your t-shirt pattern making? If so I find that incredible! You may inspire me to try that method to replicate a gorgeous $30 jacket I saw at target. Wow this is incredible! I’m sure Alex loves it. She looks like a princess.
